Wow, has it really been that long? I associate the Dugger wedding with the first cousin camp. 1978 at Lemmon Lodge, Grand Lake, Colorado. There weren't very many cousins back then either.
Judy again (would someone please tell me how to be my own person here!) Yes, a funny memory of all of the female attendants waiting for Michele Boyd to show up, as she was a flower girl, or junior bridesmaid, or candle lighter with Greg, or something, right?? Her parents were moving that weekend and when she finally got there, she was dropped off for us to help dress, and her dress did not fit her at all! I just laugh thinking about it... cause Sharyn just goes right at it with pins, stating, "Hmmmm, looks like we need to do a little altering here." I'm getting the giggles so much, cause I mean, really, that bodice was like twice the size it needed to be... and I remember that Michele was just totally oblivious to the situation, like this was just the way it was done. Oh, I wish I'd remembered this when I was with all the sisters. We would have just laughed so hard!!
And oh yes, that Cousin Camp at Grand Lake afterward!! Mark will always remember that one because not five minutes after arriving, he was bending over by the stream and little Greg ran up and jumped on his back and they both went headfirst into the water!! A bit shocking for both of them, I recall. Plus the older kids (I guess that would just be Greg, Lori, and Kala) and Mark had a little teasing game going. When he was in his canoe by the docks, they'd run up by him and call him "Marky! Marky!" (which he did not like being called, of course) and he would use his paddle to splatter them and they'd run away, only to come right back and do the same thing. Throughout our stay then, Bradley would come up to him and say, "Mahhhk, Mahhhhk," and Mark would answer, "Yes, Bradley?" then Bradley would say, "Your name's not Mahhhhky, it's Mahhhhk, right?" (he would have been two then, right? Jodi too... and Justin was on the way)
