Apart from the obvious wonderful Christian heritage, I also learned to love aviation from Dad. I well remember the 'joyrides' we got to take when a spray pilot friend let Dad use his Taylorcraft plane to just go up for the fun of it. We would take off from the grass runway outside his house in Marquette, NE and then land in Central City and someone else could go for a ride. On one of those occasions, I got off the plane in Central City and Dad took someone else back to Marquette only to discover that I still had the car keys in my pocket! Thanks for the memories, Dad and happy birthday.
